Getting started

What is Coda Live?+

Coda Live is a platform for host-driven live shopping. You run gated live events where you feature products in real time, and your guests watch, build a cart, and check out on one screen.

What do I need to start?+

A browser and a camera. You create an event, add products from your catalog, generate access codes, and go live. There is nothing to download.

Which browsers work for broadcasting?+

Broadcasting works best in Chrome on a laptop or desktop. Viewers can watch on most modern mobile and desktop browsers.

For viewers

Do viewers need an account?+

No. Guests join with a link and an access code, then watch and shop without creating an account.

How does checkout work?+

Viewers add featured products to a cart as they watch, choose variants, and enter shipping details once at the end. The cart stays put even if they refresh the page.

Is the event private?+

Yes. Every event is gated by a link and an access code, and access is enforced on the server. Only people with a valid code can watch.

Replays and orders

Can guests watch later?+

Yes. Broadcasts are recorded. When you open the replay, the recording plays back with your product features re-synced to the timeline, and a chapter list lets viewers jump to any product.

What information is captured with an order?+

Each order records the product, SKU, and variant along with the shipping details the viewer entered. You can review orders by host and across your whole organization.

Billing

How is pricing structured?+

There is a monthly base fee plus a seat for each host. Each seat includes a set number of viewers per billing cycle, and you can scale beyond that as your audience grows. See the pricing page for current rates.

How are viewers counted?+

By unique person admitted to an event. Refreshes and reconnects do not count more than once.

Can I change my number of hosts?+

Yes. Add or remove seats whenever you like. Your bill tracks your current host count.
